Reiki is used to balance the energy centers in the body, called Chakras.
The traditional form of Reiki was developed by Dr. Mikao Usui in Japan in 1922. He found that the light touch helped channel and strengthen his patient’s energy, which in turn reduced their anxiety, stress, and depression. The energy then found its natural path and became balanced once again.
Reiki provides energy and allows it to flow, like blood, through your veins. It also helps remove negative energy, emotions, and feelings. This, in turn, opens your awareness, which allows you to find your internal balance and is an excellent source of self-care.
Reiki also assists in unblocking chakras. The unblocking may cause you to experience fatigue, weakness, nausea, or headaches. Drinking water to remain hydrated helps decrease or even prevent these symptoms.
Reiki is non-invasive and considered safe for all ages. Reiki also complements Western Medicine for short and long-term dis-eases.
Scientists have found that Reiki provides mental and physical health benefits such as decreased anxiety and depression, improved self-esteem, decreased pain, and increased quality of life. Several leading hospitals, including the University of Utah, have incorporated craniosacral therapy and reiki into their practice to better serve and help patients.
